Motorway Maintenance Depot

Appointed to design ancillary  maintenance and staffing depot structures required as part of a number of PPP tolled Motorway and bridge projects. A prototypical solution for repetitive programmes was developed., which could be adapted to suit individual site locations and project specific requirements. Three depots were designed and constructed in total.

The first is at Waterford City Bypass bridge and Toll road. The maintenance facility serves staff requirements, storage, equipment and maintenance facilities for the 30 year operational contract and comprises a total of 800 Sq. m. of building in a 6000 Sq.m. operational yard adjacent to the bridge abutments.

A second, slightly smaller depot was constructed adjacent to teh toll plaza on eth M7 / M8 motorways near Portlaoise. 

The final depot is located near Drogheda on the M1 motorway.
