Alterations and Refurbishment

We were appointed to this project following a number of attempts by LLTC to develop a new clubhouse on the existing site. These earlier projects were rejected at planning stage due to neighbouring residents objections. Following our appointment, a revised development strategy was proposed which retained the existing building volume / envelope, but completely altered  the internal layouts with a minimal (8 sq.m.) increase in  area. Only the external walls of part of the structure and rear roof were retained during the works. In order to achieve maximum flexibility and rigidity, a new steel frame was inserted. The reorganised layout provided for a members club bar at first floor level with new fully glazed panoramic view over the tennis courts accessed via balconies with large sliding doors allowing the room to act as an indoor / outdoor  space. The first floor also houses an interconnected function room, private bar and toilets. The entry at ground level is via a new double height entry hall with stairs and lift to above, a new ground floor management office, kitchens, stores and changing room facilities.
